Our Circumnavigation plan
We’ve charted a 6-year journey around the world—one powered by wind, curiosity, and purpose.
The red line on the map marks our proposed circumnavigation route, which begins and ends in the Pacific Northwest. From there, we’ll head south along the Americas, round Cape Horn, cross the South Atlantic to Africa, and loop through the Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific before returning home.
This isn’t a race. It’s a deep dive into life, the ocean, and what it means to live deliberately. Along the way, we’ll be:
- Scuba diving some of the most biodiverse reefs in the world
- Collecting water samples for citizen science and marine research
- Volunteering in local communities
- Documenting everything—the joys, struggles, repairs, wildlife, cultures, and people we meet
We expect the route to evolve with the winds and opportunities, but the intention stays constant: to sail the world Sinseriously—sincerely and seriously—with open minds and full hearts.

YOur Guides
We’re Francis and Crystal—two adventurers who chose to trade convention for intention. After years of dreaming, building, and recovering from life-altering challenges, we set sail aboard our self-refitted electric sailboat to explore the world on our own terms.
Our journey began long before the boat was in the water. Francis grew up working on fishing boats and sailing with his dad, making a vow at 18 (tattooed across his back) to one day sail around the world. Crystal shares that passion for the sea, and together we earned our PADI Divemaster certifications, diving into the underwater world with curiosity and care.
Sinseriously is more than a name—it’s how we live: sincerely and seriously. We document our travels not just for entertainment, but to share what we learn, who we meet, how we grow, and what it means to live freely and with purpose. Whether it’s rebuilding systems onboard, scuba diving remote reefs, collecting water samples, or just navigating the highs and lows of life afloat, we’re here to tell the whole story.
